In figuring out how to totally crush the competition, Wish Factory came out with these nifty little plushies called "Kawaii Cubes". And even though they are complete knock-offs of the Tsum Tsum plushies in my opinion (they're cubes instead of cylinders, they come in different sizes, and they're stackable, too? What a totally unforeseen coincidence!), I can't tell you how ecstatic I am that they are here. Why? BECAUSE DC COMICS. 'Nuff said.
According to their website, "Kawaii Cubes initial roll out featured iconic licenses such as DC Comics, Superman vs. Batman, Suicide Squad, Looney Toons, and Hanna Barbera; featuring worldwide favorites such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, Scooby Doo, Tweety Bird, Dorothy and The Tinman. Look for new licenses coming soon!" YES, YES, YES!
Supergirl's long blond hair extends towards her back, and she also has her cape flapping about behind her. Cuteness overload!
It's true though that the quality and the stitching of the Kawaii Cubes pale in comparison to Disney's Tsums. Each plushie comes with its own catalog/tag where you can see the other collectibles in the series, and it's obvious that the animated designs that the creators originally planned just didn't translate well into the actual plush. The characters are cuter in the design than in the finished product, which is quite a shame, because Batgirl has so much potential.
The shapes also vary for some reason, as not every plush is as "cubed" as you'd like them to be. Some are flattened just like the Wondy I got here. Factory defect, maybe?
I'm totally going to collect these lovelies nonetheless, and they come at Php299 each in major toy stores nationwide (such as Toys R Us and Toy Kingdom). I'm still torn between collecting my fave Bat family or collecting the DC Super Hero Girls for my niece's sake (who can only look, but not touch. LOL).
